René Nanninga has a long track record in engineering, project management and business management roles within several manufacturing, engineering and consultancy firms. With a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, he has an interest in and affinity with the pharmaceutical as well as (bio)chemical industry. He is responsible for the commercial and business aspects of XPure.
Menne Zaalberg is one of the most experienced staff members with the company. He leads the XPure team and is responsible for technology and operations. He has worked in engineering and project management in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries for more than 25 years.
Menne has extensive experience in the design, construction and qualification of (GMP) equipment, including bioreactor and fermentation systems in addition to (single use) chromatography Simulated Moving Bed (SMB) and Expanded Bed Adsorption (EBA) systems.
Pieter de Wit
Pieter de Wit has a master’s degree in chemical engineering with a minor in biotechnology. He is an experienced lead engineer in both process equipment as well as SMB systems, installations, start-up and maintenance. He has a proven record of more than 20 years in continuous ion exchange chromatography, both in laboratory and industrials scales; process equipment design and pilot engineer.
Piet den Boer
Piet den Boer is an experienced scientist with more than 20 years of experience in downstream process of biopharmaceuticals in CDMO as well as R&D companies. He is keenly focused on innovation and process improvement and holds Six Sigma Black Belt certification. He conducted basic research on expanded bed adsorption (EBA) technology and codeveloped EBA systems for reduced scale as well as cGMP manufacturing scale applications. Piet holds a PhD in chemical endocrinology.
Trinath Pathapati is a Senior Scientist with a background in biochemical engineering (M.Sc., PDEng.). He is experienced in design, development and scale-up of chromatography based processes for a broad range of industrial applications. His expertise in analyzing process economics and strong problem-solving skills allow him to address the demands of our customers from various industrial sectors. He is passionate to deliver sustainable downstream solutions that cater to people, planet and profit demands.
Antoon Backx is a biochemical engineer from the TU Delft. While earning his Master’s, his main focus was on downstream processing and modelling. During a modelling project, he was exposed to SMB technology and understanding the behavior of the system. He has acquired significant process and automation knowledge while contributing to European research projects in which he plays large roles. His current focus with the team is to develop and continually improve the automation for EBA chromatography.
Process Engineering Consultant
Sanket Jadhav brings to the team knowledge and experiences from R&D to commissioning projects. He enjoys working on design, development, optimization, and validation of new products and facilities. Additionally, he acquired knowledge of modelling and process simulations while earning his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. His pragmatic problem solving approach, quick thinking, quality driven mindset, and wide array of skills make him a versatile professional for creating customizable solutions for our clients.
